GSC Game World has announced the first patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, arriving on PC and Xbox Series X/S between November 25th and December 1st. This update tackles a range of issues, including:
- Stability: Fixed memory leaks causing crashes;
- Gameplay: Resolved bugs blocking main storyline progression and fixed issues with NPCs getting stuck in objects;
- Quests: Improved the «Visions of Truth» and «A Minor Incident» quests, along with fixes for quest marker display and cutscene problems;
- AI & Visuals: Enhanced NPC behavior, fixed missing facial animations, corrected NPC placement, and improved visual effects;
- UI/UX: Fixed bugs related to the trading screen, dialogue notifications, and text/tooltip issues.
Future updates will address A-Life system issues and dead zones on gamepad analog sticks.
The patch comes hot on the heels of a recently released PC mod that eliminated shader recompilation, boosting frame rates. GSC Game World also proudly announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has already sold over one million copies just two days after its release.
