Ancient Scores in Genshin Impact: How to Find Them All

The search for Ancient Scores in Genshin Impact begins with the «Odes of Harmony» quest chain, which was added in update 4.6. In this guide, you will find all the necessary steps to obtain the Ancient Autoharmonic Music Box and collect all the scores for it. We will detail each stage of the quest and provide useful tips to help you successfully overcome this challenge.

As we've already noted, to gain access to this unique item, players first need to unlock the Nostalgia Region and reach the Petrichor Island. There won't be any particular difficulties with this, as the teleportation point on the island is available to all players.

Once on Petrichor Island, inspect the area near the Statue of the Seven Archons to start the «Odes of Harmony» quest chain and begin the quest Shadow Over Petrichor. At the end of this mission, you will receive the Ancient Autoharmonic Music Box and the first score «Fertile Lands».

The second Ancient Score can be found in the Dilapidated Castle during the quest Underwater Nocturne. At the quest's end, Ossi will suggest heading to a new underwater region, but it's worth lingering in this place a bit longer.

Turn around and interact with the instrument in front of the fresco. Bubbles with notes will emerge from the painting, which you will need to catch. This is easiest to do using a new skill — replace the hero's standard elemental skill with it and use it when the bubbles are nearby.

In the second and third stages, beware of lightning. If you don't dodge in time, it will knock your chosen hero down, and you will likely miss several bubbles. This will result in having to start the challenge over.

Once you complete all the stages of the mini-game, interact with the instrument again and collect the second part of the score «Horn of Journey».

Once you're in the Ancient Sea region, the story requires you to free Scylla from chains. Alongside this, you can explore the caves and find several more Ancient Scores. For instance, make sure to visit the cave to the south of the location. Note that there are two caves — the one you need is on the left.

Once inside, activate the fast travel point and run down the path ahead. Before the makeshift arena on the right, you will see a stone statue. First, climb onto it and take the hydroculus, then interact with it. In the dialogue, choose Take me there to start the challenge.

Players will find themselves in an arena with constantly spawning whopperflowers. With each enemy killed, the progress of charging up a power-up will increase. Eventually, two depth whopperflowers will appear in the arena. To get rid of them, try to distribute the damage evenly.

After the battle, a previously blocked part of the cave will open. Go into this area and inspect the contents of several chests, including a luxurious one. On the high ground, you will find a device from which you can extract the Ancient Score Day of Wrath.

Continue exploring the Ancient Sea — there are many secrets left in this location, as well as another Ancient Score hidden in a cave in the northern part of the region.

You might have been here while completing the quest The Last Day of Remuria, when you needed to get rid of the chains holding Scylla. Move deeper into the dungeon and activate the fast travel point. The item of interest is hidden in the far right part of the dungeon. To pick up the Ancient Score Great Sovereign, you'll have to destroy a stone golem.

Upon returning from the cave, you can solve a simple puzzle and be rewarded with a luxurious chest. To do this, free three fairies and escort them to the stands next to the chest. In some cases, you will have to destroy anemo slimes or fight golems.

When the fairies gather at the large bell in the center of the location, interact with it.

The next Ancient Score can be found in the location with the Golden Palace. Directly beneath it, there is an inconspicuous cave where the sought-after item awaits. To get there, use the fast travel to the teleport in the center of the map and find the entrance to the dungeon.

Here, you will also see a monster in the arena, but fighting it is not mandatory. If you don't want to waste time, bypass it on the left side and interact with the pedestal to obtain the penultimate part of the Ancient Score Verdict.

The last part of the Ancient Score can only be obtained after completing all the quests in the «Odes of Harmony» series. When you finish the task «Scars of a Sorrowful Destiny», you will receive the score Time of Tears.
