Archon Quest Walkthrough in Genshin Impact: Interlude Chapter, Act 2. Perilous Trail

With the recent 2.7 update in Genshin Impact, several story quests have become available for completion. Today we will tell you how to complete the Archon Quest series Perilous Trail and help you solve puzzles in all the dungeons deep within The Chasm.

To access the quest series, you need to meet several conditions:

Once all conditions are met, open the task journal and select the first available quest from the Unexpected Guest quest line.

Head to the lower levels of The Chasm to talk to Yanfei. She will ask you to cover her, after which Arataki Itto and Kuki Shinobu will appear. After talking with these characters, the main part of the quest will begin.

Proceed forward and descend into the canyon that leads deeper into The Chasm. In addition to the previously mentioned characters, you will also meet the new character Yelan. Together with your new friends, you will descend into the underground mine of The Chasm.

First, talk to Yelan and enter the dungeon Crane's Dance. Depending on your world level, you will see the recommended party level. World level five will require a party level of 71. This will start the next quest Underground Labyrinth.

Rewards:

Interact with the device to activate the staircase. Go down and defeat several slimes. Here, also activate the device, after which the adjacent platform will flip, allowing you to climb onto it.

Go up and to the right. Deal with the hilichurls and mitachurl, then activate a similar device three times. Return to the previous lever and flip the central platform again.

Here you will again have to fight several hilichurls. After the battle, interact with the only device and climb to the higher platform.

The final battle will be much harder than all the previous ones. Defeat two geovishaps, after which you will gain access to a precious chest and be able to leave the dungeon. Returning to the depths of The Chasm, talk to your companions and complete the quest.

Rewards:

After completing the previous quest, open the Paimon menu and wait until the next day. Talk to your friends and head to the next portal. It leads to the next dungeon City of Hidden Runes. It is recommended to equip at least one character with the Geo element beforehand.

You will find yourself in a dungeon with six platforms. On the central platform, there are four primary symbols of different colors. Move to the other platforms, activate the runes (pay attention to the central platform to choose the correct symbol), and fight the monsters. If you try to activate with the wrong runes, you will take damage.

After each battle, you need to direct light beams at the symbols that appear on the opposite platforms. Use the screenshots below to do this.

Move to the upper platform and watch the cutscene featuring Xiao. Watch the long video, then talk to the others and find Xiao in the cave. When you do this, you will receive the achievement No Way Home and gain access to a new dungeon.

Rewards:

Enter the dungeon and fight several enemies controlling Yanfei. After the battle, inspect the right part of the location, find and read a part of the journal.

Turn the needle back to go to the past and get rid of a small tree. If you don't do this, it will grow in the future and block the needle's forward movement.

Move the needle forward. Now you can do this again, but first, inspect the mine on the right and interact with the lever to open the gate. This will also affect future events.

Move the needle forward, enter the new dimension, and fight the evil spirit. Use Xiao's elemental skill and dodge the enemy's attacks. When the Elemental Burst is charged, use it and attack the enemy.

To the left of the mine entrance, take another page from the journal, then kill the spider and interact with the compass. Turn the needle back twice.

In the final dimension, move the needle back once to point to the large symbol below.

If you do everything correctly, you will see your brother (sister) and be able to inspect the precious chest. To complete the quest chain, return to the surface and watch several long cutscenes. At the end of the quest, you will receive the achievement Strength of Spirit, Calmness of Heart and valuable rewards.
