Louis Rossmann's FULU Foundation is offering a $10,000 bounty for a PlayStation 5 hypervisor bypass, and the pot has already climbed to nearly $15,000 thanks to community donations. The announcement says the total can keep growing.

The program aims to let an eligible PS5 run a different OS while still giving that system access to the console's primary computation, memory, and graphics hardware. Rossmann framed the offer directly in the announcement:
We're releasing a bounty program where if somebody comes up with a solution that allows you to modify or bypass the PS5 hypervisor to the extent that an alternative operating system can be booted... we will pay you $10,000.

Instead of getting caught up in this never-ending debate, I suggest we look at the issue of difficulty from a different angle and figure out why games from the ’80s and ’90s were so difficult, why their creators opted for a hardcore approach, and how the “economics” of the gaming industry influenced game design. Simply put, why is it that, because of capitalism, Mario has only three lives, and in Castlevania, every hit threatens to send Belmont tumbling into the nearest abyss?

The best vampire games for PC, PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch — we've gathered a top 30: from cult classics to 2026 releases. Vampires are a fertile theme for games, though surprisingly few major projects about them have come out. But the last couple of years have been making up for lost time: in 2025, after long delays, Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 finally arrived, and on the way are the RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker from former developers of The Witcher 3 and the grim The Duskbloods from the creators of Bloodborne.

In 1983, the console video game market suffered the most catastrophic collapse in its history — revenue fell nearly 97%, from $3.2 billion to $100 million a year. Dozens of companies closed, thousands of people were laid off, and millions of unsold cartridges ended up in landfills (the most famous one near the city of Alamogordo, where over 700,000 cartridges were secretly buried).

After fully immersing ourselves in Gothic 1 Remake, all our skepticism completely vanished. The project turned out exactly as the developers pitched it six years ago: a meticulous recreation of the original using modern technology. No concessions to the casual audience, no simplifications or tweaks to fit current trends. It’s immediately clear — this remake was made for the fans. But will it appeal to picky old-school veterans, and is there room in it for the modern player who’s used to more accessible RPGs? That’s what we’re going to find out.

Stealth is a genre where patience and observation beat firepower and brute force. Instead of rushing in guns blazing, players hide in shadows, study patrol routes, distract guards, and plan every move — whether slipping into a target's mansion or sabotaging an enemy installation deep behind enemy lines. Over thirty-plus years, the genre has grown from a niche experiment into a rich cluster of sub-genres: social stealth built on disguises and social engineering, immersive sims with full freedom of approach, real-time tactical stealth with active pause, stealth horror, and clever indie experiments. This list brings together the best stealth games of all time on PC and consoles — 36 games grouped by sub-genre.

The action-adventure genre is one of the most varied in the industry: it covers a huge range of subgenres, from GTA-style games and open-world titles to metroidvanias and cinematic blockbusters. Games based on the works of writer H. P. Lovecraft have been made for decades — since the 1990s, developers have been trying to bring myths about Cthulhu, Dagon, and other Ancient Ones to the screen. Over the years, this has resulted in both forgettable tentacle-filled horrors and genuine masterpieces that carefully explore themes of cosmic dread, madness, and human insignificance. In 2026, “Lovecraftian” games continue to appear across a wide range of genres: from retro shooters and detective stories to hardcore RPGs and slow-paced psychological narratives where the main enemy is not a monster, but the mind itself.
