Several new features, currently in the testing phase, have appeared in the Google Gemini web interface. The updates aim to improve the assistant's usability, especially for those considering a switch from other platforms.

One of the key novelties is an option labeled "Import AI chats," marked as a beta feature. This tool will allow users to upload files containing dialog history exported from other chatbots into Gemini. This will enable them to continue discussions or work tasks within Google's ecosystem while preserving the context of previous conversations. For now, the function does not support transferring the bot's settings or "memories," but it could simplify migration for new users.

Simultaneously, Google is working on improving its image generator. The interface now offers the option to download created pictures in higher resolution — 2K and 4K. The "maximum size" option, labeled as suitable for printing, expands the potential for commercial use of the generated graphics.

A third discovered innovation, tentatively called "Similarity," leads to a video verification page. While the details aren't entirely clear yet, Google is likely developing tools for analyzing video content, possibly related to identifying AI-generated material or copyright issues. Given its early stage of development, a public announcement of this feature might come later.

Google is transforming Gemini into a more versatile and open tool, one that not only develops its own capabilities but also lowers the barriers for users switching from competing services.
