By default, 007 First Light restricts the screen aspect ratio to 16:9, which causes ultrawide and super ultrawide monitor owners to encounter black bars on the sides (pillarboxing) or a stretched and cropped image. This script automatically unlocks the correct aspect ratio, allowing the picture to properly fill the entire screen. It's a simple automated solution that doesn't require manual file editing or the use of hexadecimal (Hex) editors.

Main features:

  • One-click unlock: the script works through a single .bat command file with an intuitive menu.
  • Ready-made presets: built-in support for 21:9 (2560×1080, 3440×1440, 3840×1600), 32:10 (3840×1200 / 5120×1600), and 32:9 (3840×1080 / 5120×1440) aspect ratios.
  • Manual input: the ability to specify your own hexadecimal (Hex) aspect ratio value if your resolution is not listed.
  • Safety and automatic backup: the script creates a backup of the original file (007FirstLight.exe.bak) before making changes. Only the aspect ratio value is replaced. The script is protected from repeated launches and will not damage the file if the game is already patched.

Installation instructions:

  1. Extract the downloaded archive.
  2. Copy the UltrawideFix.bat file to your game's Retail folder, where the 007FirstLight.exe executable is located (default path: ...\steamapps\common\007 First Light\Retail\).
  3. Launch UltrawideFix.bat by double-clicking it. If the Windows SmartScreen filter appears, click "More info" → "Run anyway".
  4. In the window that appears, enter the number corresponding to your screen resolution, press Enter, and confirm your choice.

Uninstalling and reverting changes:

  • Delete the modified 007FirstLight.exe file and rename the created backup 007FirstLight.exe.bak back to 007FirstLight.exe.
  • Alternatively, run a file integrity check in Steam so the launcher automatically downloads the original file.
