About the Game

3D Monster Maze (1982) — arcade horror with a first-person view and action elements. This game was one of the first computer games to use a 3D first-person perspective. After being introduced to the game by a circus herald, the player character is thrown into a randomly generated 16x16 maze and must find a way out. There is only one difficulty: the Tyrannosaurus Rex is hidden in the maze. As soon as the main character moves, the dinosaur will begin to chase him, becoming more and more active as he approaches. The dinosaur's state is displayed in the status bar, letting the player know if it is far away (Rex is waiting), if it is getting closer (Footsteps are approaching), or if the player needs to move on. (Run! He's after you).
