5089: The Action RPG is an action role-playing game with sandbox elements, set amid a war between experimental robots on the procedurally generated planet Xax. Set 2,000 years after the events of 3089, it follows a conflict that continues after the Overlord’s disappearance, as the planet falls into disrepair and a new power emerges.
The player explores the planet, fights, sneaks, builds, trades and completes quests, either alone or with a friend. Conversations with robots offer choices that affect events, while reclaiming and destroying enemy structures helps restore the planet’s infrastructure. Enemies, weapons, items and quests are procedurally generated, and item parts can be customized.
