About the Game

This real-time strategy game follows young recruits training in the Fergana Valley and the defence of Hill 3234 by the 9th Company of the 345th Guards Airborne Regiment during the Soviet military campaign in Afghanistan. Its events are based on an actual military operation.

Players select missions from an area operations map and fight across tactical maps of Afghanistan. Nonlinear missions involve commanding infantry, reconnaissance, assault and special operations units, with more than 80 unit types available. Soldiers gain experience from battle to battle, while a morale system affects characters during combat.
