A tabletop strategy game on a hexagonal board, Abalone challenges players to push all of their opponent’s marbles off the edge. On each turn, a player can move one, two, or three marbles in a line by one space in any direction. To push opposing marbles, the moving group must outnumber the adjacent marbles it contacts.
Victory depends on planning both attacks and defenses: positioning can block an opponent or set traps, while a mistake near the edge can cost a marble. Solo play includes matches against the computer at three difficulty levels and a campaign of challenges that grow harder as they progress. Players can also compete on the same device or online, and some modes let them review games move by move.
