ActRaiser — The protagonist of the story is the god-like Master, and it is on his behalf that all the events occurring in the game are described. From the manual that came with the cartridge, it follows that one day the Master was forced to confront the evil demon Tanzra and his 6 lieutenants, ultimately was defeated and retreated to the heavenly palace, where, due to the wounds he received, he fell into a deep sleep. Meanwhile, the despotic Tanzra divided the earth into 6 regions and put 6 of his minions to rule over them — evil began to spread among humanity, monsters populated the entire earth. After hundreds of years, the Master finally woke up, but without his former mighty power, since faith among people had faded away. Now he, together with his angel assistant, will have to recreate civilization almost from scratch.
