Adventure Bar Story combines role-playing with tavern management. The player must save a sister’s shabby tavern from being taken over by wealthy restaurant owner Gustav by making it the most popular place in town. Exploring the world and dungeons, the party fights monsters for ingredients, while fishing and farming provide other produce.

Ingredients are used to prepare dishes from a recipe book containing more than 400 recipes. The tavern serves customers, completes quests, and enters contests to raise its rank and trigger RPG events. Characters gain experience from eating rather than fighting: better food makes the party stronger.
