Aero's Quest is a side-scrolling puzzle-platformer in which Aero sets out to rescue Ariella from the evil Andraus. Progress depends on solving puzzles and crossing platforming sections across levels divided into ten sub-zones.

The game features 101 levels, including special stages and boss fights, as well as power-ups to aid Aero on his journey. Players can choose between normal play and speedrun challenges against the clock, and the game tracks progress and records.
