Ahnayro: The Dream World is an adventure puzzle game that combines dream exploration with riddles drawing on real historical events, figures, art, and mythology. The player examines fragments of a woman’s visions and looks for connections between them to discover the identities of the figures haunting the dream world and interpret its imagery.

The game features 50 research- and logic-based puzzles, with the narrative woven into their solutions. During the day, the story explores the woman’s troubled life and a remote sleep clinic; her visions lead to an investigation of the clinic’s methods and research into lucid dreaming. The narrative uses alternate reality game elements and unfolds across multiple formats.
