A science-fiction shooter with horror elements, Aliens: Colonial Marines follows a squad of United States Colonial Marines facing a Xenomorph infestation. Set in the Aliens universe, its story-driven campaign features locations including Hadley’s Hope, the Sulaco and LV-426.

Players battle alien enemies with weapons such as pulse rifles and flamethrowers, along with other equipment. The campaign can be played solo or in co-op for up to four players, who can join or leave the squad during missions. Experience unlocks skills, weapons and squad appearance options, while character loadouts can be customised.
