The plot follows Herman Draven, a middle-aged divorced man and fanatical conspiracy theorist. Herman's family abandoned him because of his obsession with the Philadelphia Experiment (a real-life hoax in which the United States was able to teleport a naval destroyer in 1943). After 11 years of unsuccessful searches, the hero finds a secret document with the coordinates of a military institution that is somehow connected with the experiment. As a result, the hero ends up at a military base in Greenland. As he progresses, he solves puzzles, hides from enemies and tries to get out of this terrible institution.
