Backdrop — Behind the curtain is an action role-playing game with side view. In this game, putting on a mask means more than just replacing a skill set with another. This actually defines the personality of your main characters, changing how you interact with others and how they perceive you. Masks provide unique skills and perks (such as the knight's heavy armor), but also have their own weaknesses (such as slowing the knight down in combat and making sneaking more difficult). But the system goes further. In a classic Shakespeare play, many of the roles are immediately recognizable and usually have several defining characteristics. It's the same with a mask: it focuses on a few strong character traits, and this determines the range of your ability to interact with other people and the environment. This makes wearing a mask a broad decision and can lead to very different results.
