A space-based tactical strategy game set during the First Cylon War, Battlestar Galactica Deadlock follows the Colonial Fleet as it defends the Twelve Colonies after a surprise Cylon attack destroys its high command on Picon. Rear-Admiral Lucinda Cain takes command, and the fate of humanity rests on turning the tide of the prolonged conflict.

Players direct the fleet from the mobile shipyard Daidalos, design and build ships, recruit officers, and unlock blueprints, munitions, and squadrons. In 3D tactical battles, orders are issued to the ships before their actions unfold in real time, which can be paused. The campaign also involves protecting the Colonies and keeping the Quorum of Twelve united, while defending against Cylon Raiders, missile attacks, and boarding parties.
