This tactical action game with strategy elements takes place on the battlefields of the Hundred Years’ War, where the player is a mercenary leading troops to victory. Forces include infantry, archers, cavalry, artillery, and siege weapons. Up to four squads can be controlled separately or combined into an army of as many as 200 troops for coordinated attacks.

The Hundred Years’ War mode uses a free-mission system to present the conflict from both the English and French perspectives, with historical figures such as Joan of Arc and Edward, the Black Prince. Nightmare mode adds fantastical monsters, including dragons and cyclops, as England and France unite to fight them.
