The Class 195, introduced in 2019, was built by CAF on the Civity platform and is available in two- and three-car units. Operated by Northern, the trains are expected to increase capacity on non-electrified regional and commuter services in the north of England and primarily replace the aging Sprinters and beloved Pacers.
