CLUTCH is set for Q1 2027 as a Forza Horizon 6 companion, not a rival
Maverick Games says CLUTCH is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2027, and the studio is positioning the game as a companion to Forza Horizon 6 rather than a direct competitor. The project comes from Mike Brown, the former creative director of Forza Horizon 5 and founder of Maverick Games, and the team says it is not trying to replace Playground Games' series.

Clutch, an open world racing game from Maverick Games — founded by former Forza Horizon lead designer Mike Brown — received its first major gameplay showcase during a recent developer live stream. The team presented nearly an hour of gameplay, demonstrating core mechanics, exploring the open world, and answering questions from viewers.
