Anno series of games
Anno is a popular strategy series that touches on a huge number of eras and time periods of history. True, instead of armed conflicts with the creation of their own army, gamers will have to engage in the development of their own city, diplomacy, trade and the fight against local problems of residents.
Fans of the series were able to create their own city during the Middle Ages, and during the era of the first ships, and in the distant future with spaceships, and in completely different periods of the history of planet Earth. Apart from the "space" parts, they all give a fairly realistic picture of how new cities were created in the past.
