Historical games
Historical games usually touch on a specific period in human history, either completely retelling it and allowing the gamer to participate in it, or embellishing events by adding new faces or some details.
Usually the matter concerns military conflicts, and it doesn’t really matter how long ago it was: the Middle Ages, the Second World War, and the period of the Three Kingdoms in China (which is almost always embellished) are also affected.
Historical games can be shooters, strategies, or RPGs: it all depends on how much “power” the developers want to give the player and how much he can change.
This list contains all historical games, regardless of year of release, genre and gameplay features.
