Indie horror
TOP: indie horror games (not expensive scary games). While large studios are constrained by contracts with publishers and mandatory deadlines, small independent teams have complete creative freedom. There is an opinion that you simply cannot make a good horror film without it.
Such games are largely based on non-standard solutions. And publishers, as you know, don’t always like this. It's indie developers who are willing to risk everything for a good game.
