Set two years after Contra III: The Alien Wars, Contra 4 is a futuristic arcade shooter in which Bill and Lance team up to stop an alien invasion led by Black Viper. Players battle alien hordes with a range of futuristic weapons while avoiding pitfalls and other hazards. The side-scrolling action spans both screens, allowing for larger environments and boss encounters, and supports simultaneous two-player play.
