A pixel-art adventure with horror and stealth elements set in a fairytale world, Count Lucanor follows Hans, a boy who enters a forest, meets a kobold and becomes trapped in a castle. To inherit the Count’s wealth, he must discover the kobold’s name.

The player explores the castle, places candles to light the way, talks to its inhabitants and gathers clues and items to solve puzzles. Hans can hide under tables and behind curtains to avoid enemies, while traps also pose a danger. Choices affect the story, which includes branching plotlines, secrets and five endings.
