A satirical clicker that mocks the primitive mechanics of popular Facebook games. In the center of the screen is a cow that can be clicked at certain intervals, gradually turning a nearly meaningless action into a semblance of gameplay. The project was originally created as a parody and was presented at an event at New York University, after which it appeared on Facebook.
Paradoxically, the satire quickly gained popularity and even started earning real money for the creator through the sale of special virtual cows. Over time, Bogost decided to end the experiment by staging a "Cow Apocalypse": all the cows disappeared, leaving players the option to continue clicking on the empty space where they once were.
