A proper solution to reduce stuttering and performance issues. The mod optimizes CPU and GPU efficiency, reduces latency, improves streaming and memory management — all without sacrificing the game's graphics or visual quality. The mod is "future proof" — it's compatible with future patches.

How to install:

Download one of the main files;
Extract the pak file to ....\Cronos\Content\Paks\~mods (create the ~mods folder if it doesn't exist);
Make sure the game (Cronos-Win64-Shipping.exe) runs in DirectX 12 mode by adding the -dx12 parameter in the Shortcut Target (or Steam Launch Options). If you have modern hardware, the game is most likely already running in DX12 by default.

Highly recommended:

If using Vsync: turn off Vsync in the game -> enable Vsync in the NVIDIA (or AMD) Control Panel
If not using Vsync: turn off FPS Limit in the game -> limit FPS via RivaTuner (you can also use both: Vsync in NVIDIA Control Panel + FPS limit via RivaTuner).

To uninstall, simply delete the pak file from the ~mods folder.
