An atmospheric horror with survival elements from the creators of the remake of Silent Hill 2, the events of which unfold in a gloomy future world that has experienced catastrophic events. The player finds himself in the role of the Traveler, an agent of a mysterious organization who sets off on a journey across the mutilated Earth that has survived the catastrophe. Through time rifts, the path leads to Poland of the 1980s - to an alternative reality, where the industrial landscape with monolithic buildings and Soviet architecture is intertwined with distorted flesh and madness born of an event known as "Change".
The battles in the game are brutal and merciless. Enemies do not disappear after death - if their bodies are not destroyed, they can return, merging into an even more dangerous form. These creatures, known as "Orphans", become part of the main danger in this world, where even victory can turn into a new threat. The combat system is inspired by the classics of the genre - Resident Evil, Dead Space, The Thing - and requires precision, endurance and calculation. The slightest mistake can cost you your life.
A deep plot is also at the core. Traveling through time, you can find and save the souls of people from the past, moving them to the future. Each such soul affects the surrounding world, but also brings internal conflict and distortion of reason. The relationship between time eras becomes the basis for both mechanics and atmosphere. As the player navigates locations filled with symbols and fear, they encounter architecture that is as oppressive as the monsters: Soviet hospitals, foggy factories, dense corridors and broken staircases create a sense of claustrophobia and detachment from reality.
Cronos: The New Dawn is a beautiful but boring survival horror with no original ideas. It’s far from a successor to Dead Space and not even a competitor to the early Resident Evil games. The game had potential, but the developers lacked the skills to fully realize it.

A fresh take on the Resident Evil formula, highly recommended for fans of Dead Space and Callisto Protocol. The plot explores various philosophical themes. A very solid B-grade survival game.
