Cults & Daggers is a turn-based strategy game set in the Hellenistic era, between the death of the Buddha and the birth of Christ. The player creates a religion and wages a secret struggle for influence over the world: disciples spread the faith across the Mediterranean, preach to the people and convert noble families, while cults secretly manipulate the rise and fall of city-states.
Over more than 400 years, players must oppose the stirring Old Gods by sending disciples to their places of power. Spying, assassinations and political intrigue are among the tools at hand, alongside customising a faith and exploring a procedurally generated technology tree. The game includes single-player play against AI and multiplayer, including hotseat play.
