This first-person adventure horror game takes place at the abandoned Dowerton station in Dorset, England. After receiving a frightened, cryptic message from his architect brother, the protagonist travels to meet him, only to find the station deserted—and discover that he is not alone. In Dark Fall: The Journal, the player explores the station, its tunnels, a nearby hotel and the surrounding grounds, solving puzzles and searching for artifacts, ancient documents and a journal. The discoveries point to a history of disappearances and hauntings stretching back centuries.
