Darkwater is a cooperative extraction horror game set beneath the frozen ocean of an alien planet. After a catastrophe, the government freezes the ocean’s surface, trapping a submarine crew below the ice. The game can be played solo or with a crew of up to four players.
The crew scavenges for fuel and supplies, explores abandoned underwater facilities, and fights their inhabitants, including infected divers and alien creatures. Players operate the submarine’s systems, battle enemy vessels, and upgrade their craft with specialized rooms. Survival depends on managing scarce resources and coordinating the crew’s plans.
