This role-playing game is set in a future shaped by global economic and social collapse. After being wrongly banished from the virtual world Online World, retired hacker Jay returns to seek revenge on its administrators and key-holders, only to discover that the game conceals something far greater.

Players explore Online World, hack monsters and other players, develop their character, and choose whether to fight for the game's inhabitants or seek power for themselves. The game features more than 50 class archetypes, over 180 skills, and the separate trading-card game Trioarch. Progress can be carried over into Data Hacker: Corruption.
