Destination Sol is a space arcade RPG that begins at the edge of a star system, where the player pilots a small fighter and explores a randomly generated open world. It features two star systems, planets, asteroid belts and mazes, with seamless travel between space and planetary surfaces.
The player fights enemies, mines asteroids, hires mercenaries and encounters allied fighters, traders and outposts. Exploration and combat support ship progression: six ship types are available, and more than 50 items—including weapons, shields and armor—can be equipped. Destination Sol is free-to-play and open source.
