A fantasy role-playing game and a continuation of the Dragon Knight series, it follows Kakeru, the son of Takeru, the protagonist of earlier games. After learning of the wizard Lushifon’s plan to destroy civilization, Kakeru sets out to stop him in battle.

Combat is turn-based, with Kakeru joined by a party of up to eight allies. Characters belong to distinct classes—swordsmen, archers, and sorcerers—and their weapons and armor are suited to their class.
