A tactical action game based on Luo Guanzhong’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms, set in ancient China during a period of turmoil. Players fight as one of 42 warriors from the Three Kingdoms or the unaffiliated forces, following seven stories from the country’s past.

The Battlefield Area System adds strategic choices and supports shorter play sessions. Warriors can be accompanied by bodyguard officers with special skills; these officers can be discovered, selected for battle, and exchanged. Musou and Free modes include mounted combat on horses and elephants.
