This fantasy role-playing game follows a resurrected Lightbringer tasked with protecting the Embers as the world nears collapse. The journey begins in the Deep Barrows and crosses above-ground and underground lands, from forests and deserts to dark abysses, on the way to the City of Light. Encounters with strangers and pivotal decisions shape the unfolding story and the fates of its characters.

Exploration and quests are joined by real-time party combat, with a tactical pause for choosing actions and skills. More than 65 combat skills support different battle strategies, while companions have quests tied to their backstories. Crafting ranges from baking bread to forging magic weapons, and locations feature changing weather and day-night cycles.
