Atmospheric survival horror inspired by the Amnesia series. The action takes place in ancient Japan. Instead of the sanity mechanics familiar from Amnesia, in Eternal Haunt the main threat is hypothermia. The story follows an old man named Kiyoshi, who wakes up in a bamboo forest during a blizzard on a winter night and discovers that his grandson Mosaku has disappeared without a trace. In search of his grandson, Kiyoshi stumbles upon an abandoned cabin. What seemed like a refuge from the cold turns into a nightmare: the hero is pursued by the evil spirit Yuki-onna and her ten ghostly children.
The main character's task is to escape from the icy labyrinth. The more the character freezes, the slower his movements become and the more vulnerable he is to the ghost's icy grip. The only chance to survive is to find a source of warmth. In addition to battling the cold, players will face puzzles that change with each playthrough. The solutions to the puzzles are always unique, ensuring high replayability. During the gameplay, players can collect items that reveal the tragic story of Yuki-onna.
