A single-player puzzle game set in a crayon-drawn world, Fausts Alptraum follows Elisabeth Faust in a story based on Goethe’s Faust. After her father’s funeral, she enters an old house, follows a black cat into the basement, and encounters a purple demon. Soon, she can no longer tell whether what she experiences is memory or imagination.
Holding a candlestick, Elisabeth searches for a way out of the nightmare. The player collects clues to uncover the connection between dreams and reality, following faint traces that may lead to an escape.
