Fossil Echo is a side-scrolling adventure arcade platformer. The story of the game takes place in a fantasy world where a little boy decided to climb to the top of a high tower in the middle of the ocean. The narration is told without the use of words — only scenes, facial expressions and musical accompaniment. The main character is vulnerable to enemy attacks, so the best solution is to avoid direct encounters with opponents.
