The hero is armed with various firearms or their futuristic counterparts. The main objective of shooters is to eliminate all enemies in the level. Usually, the hero needs to get from one point to another or hold a position for a certain amount of time. Modern shooters feature a cinematic storyline and elements from other genres (stealth, tactics, role-playing system).
