The edition combines the original Gothic 2 and the expansion Night of the Raven, offering a vast journey through an open world in the spirit of classic RPGs. The story unfolds after the events of the first part: the hero finds himself in the kingdom of Myrtana, where the growing threat of orcs and dragons intertwines with the intrigues of factions. The world feels alive and reacts to actions — choosing sides, dialogues, and deeds directly influence the course of events.
Exploration, quest completion, and skill development shape a personal path, while the combat system requires attentiveness and preparation. The expansion enhances the game with new territories, quests, and mechanics, making the adventure even deeper.

Reviews and ratings
1- What you liked:
I have nothing but praise for this work of art, a true gem from the early 2000s.
The story, the map, the charisma of the characters with their corresponding dialogues... everything fits together perfectly.
Plus, I loved that they included both the standard game (Classic) and the Gold Edition (which includes the NoTR expansion) so you can choose either one!
For those of us who played it back in the day, it's a must-have.
2- What you didn't like:
Laugh at Dark Souls for all you want; this bastard will make you sweat blood.
3- How much have you played?: From its release until 2026 I've probably played it about 15 times, so I'd say around 600 hours.
