A targeted balance modification for Graveyard Keeper 2 that removes the hidden penalty on church Faith generation caused by heavy zombie automation. In the vanilla game, exceeding your resurrection room limit cuts sermon Faith payouts by 70% to 90% across every prayer type.
The mod is available in two separate builds (install only one):
Main Version (Complete Debuff Removal):
- Completely disables the penalty across all sermons. Automate with as many zombies as you want without sacrificing Faith.
- Automatically clears existing debuffs from active saves moments after loading.
Optional Version (RaiseLimit — Soft Balance):
- Preserves the management mechanic while making capacity limits far more forgiving.
- By default, grants 10 additional zombie slots on top of your current resurrection room level before any penalty triggers.
- Ships with the penalty disabled by default. To activate the higher limit, set Mode = RaiseLimit in the config file.
Notice: Download and install only one version to avoid conflicts.
Configuration (BepInEx\config\hellcore49.gk2.zombiedebufftweaks.cfg):
- Mode = Disabled — Penalty is completely turned off (default).
- Mode = RaiseLimit — Activates the expanded zombie capacity system (optional build only).
- Mode = Vanilla — Restores default game restrictions.
- VerboseLogging = true — Logs sermon results and compares normal Faith yields against penalized amounts.
Installation Instructions:
- Install BepInEx 5.4.23.x into your game directory. Launch and close the game once.
- Place the ZombieDebuffTweaks.dll file from your chosen version into:
BepInEx\plugins\ZombieDebuffTweaks\ - Launch the game.
