A polished quality-of-life interface enhancement for Graveyard Keeper 2 that integrates a persistent clock directly beneath the reputation tracker on the top-left HUD. Built natively with the game's original border frame assets and bitmap typography, the widget blends seamlessly into the vanilla aesthetic. Because it queries the underlying engine clock every frame, timekeeping remains perfectly synchronized during sleeping routines, save reloads, and when using day-lengthening or day-skipping mods (Keeper's Longer Days, Advance Day). Features include an optional day counter, real-time mouse drag-and-drop repositioning, extensive color/opacity styling, and full responsiveness across arbitrary aspect ratios including Steam Deck and Ultrawide displays.

Key Features Breakdown:

The Clock Display:

  • Anchored directly beneath the reputation counter using matching UI frames and pixel fonts.
  • Selectable 24-hour (18:30) and 12-hour (6:30 PM) time formats.
  • Configurable minute rounding increments (1, 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60). An in-game minute elapses in roughly one-third of a real second; the default 10-minute rounding prevents distracting visual twitching.
  • Standardized fixed-width bounding box prevents UI jitter as numerals change.

Calendar Day Counter:

  • Disabled by default; toggleable on demand.
  • Flexible integration: prefix mode within the primary clock string (Day 4 | 15:32) or as an independent, movable secondary widget frame.
  • 1:1 parity with the Day Counter mod (save files reporting day 0 correctly render as "Day 1").

Freeform HUD Repositioning:

  • Fine-tune offsets using coordinate sliders within the configuration menu.
  • Direct mouse manipulation: enabling Enable repositioning pauses the simulation and allows you to drag panels anywhere using the Left Mouse Button (LMB), showing cyan bounding outlines and exact X/Y telemetry. Press Esc or Right Click to commit coordinates and return to the menu.
  • Dynamic boundary clamping prevents panels from sliding off-screen regardless of resolution.

Visual Customization:

  • Font scaling from 50% to 300% (200% and 300% retain sharp integer pixel art rendering).
  • Full RGB palette selector for typography.
  • Frame tinting modes: default vanilla border, 50% transparency, hidden frame, or flat custom color rectangles.

Resolution & Hardware Responsiveness:

  • Scales proportionally across all screen layouts (16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, Steam Deck) and maintains compatibility with GK2 Ultrawide Fix.
  • Automatically hides whenever the game suppresses the HUD during cinematics.
  • Adaptive positioning for compact display modes (720p, 768p, 800p): if tech-point banners appear under reputation meters, the clock dynamically shifts downward and glides back up once clear.

Localization:

  • Fully localized into 11 languages (English, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Polish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean).

Prerequisites:

  • BepInEx 5.4.23.x (x64)
  • GK2 Mod Framework 0.1.13+ (0.1.x branch)

Installation Instructions:

  1. Install BepInEx 5.4.23.x (x64) into your game root directory. Run the game once to generate directory trees, then exit.
  2. Install GK2 Mod Framework 0.1.13 or newer.
  3. Extract the mod archive into your root game directory. Verify that the files match these exact target paths:
  4. Mod Binary:
    ...\Graveyard Keeper 2\BepInEx\plugins\WhatTimeIsIt\WhatTimeIsIt.dll
  5. Translation Directory:
    ...\Graveyard Keeper 2\BepInEx\plugins\GK2.Framework\Localization\gk2.whattimeisit\
  6. (Notice: Omitting the localization directory forces English text and triggers a "Language files missing" warning).
  7. Launch the game and load your save file. The clock widget will appear immediately under the reputation counter.
