A tactical strategy game about battles on the Eastern Front of World War II, where the player commands forces fighting for Kharkov. Commanders deploy tanks, guns, and infantry from the Red Army and Wehrmacht, with decisions shaping the outcome of battles. The game is a sequel to Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943 and includes eight operations.
Battles take place across extensive maps, and individual engagements can be launched anywhere in an operation area. The opposing force adapts its tactics to the situation, while soldiers’ experience, fatigue, and morale affect their behavior and combat effectiveness. Weather, time of day, visibility, and terrain traversability also influence combat; vehicle components can be damaged separately, and the destructible environment retains traces of battle.
