A puzzle adventure set in a blend of film noir and Mexican folklore. Manny Calavera works as a travel agent at the Department of Death, selling souls tickets for a four-year journey to eternal rest. When he becomes entangled in a conspiracy, Manny must uncover what is happening and protect his own salvation.

The player explores the Land of the Dead, interacts with characters, and solves puzzles in a point-and-click format. The story spans four years of Manny’s life and death. The remaster updates the visuals, lighting, sound, and controls, and features a newly recorded score performed by a live orchestra.

Review about the game Grim Fandango Remastered

Clerks don't die

I discovered Grim Fandango only in 2015, when Remastered came out. I'm sorry I missed out on this amazing game, but I'm glad Two Heads updated it.

This game has an excellent script and amazing production. Fandango copes with all the tasks of good quests: it tells an interesting story and offers us good riddles that don’t get boring.

It’s quite funny to see Mexican folklore in a modern interpretation, to see a skeleton clerk selling tours to that very afterlife vacation. The characters are somewhat stereotypical, but pleasant and memorable.

Grim Fandango is one of the best representatives of the Quest genre. Unfortunately, we really lack such games now.

Открыл для себя Grim Fandango только в 2015 году, когда вышел Remastered. Сожалею, что упустил эту потрясающую игру, но рад что Двухголовые обновили её.

В этой игре отличный сценарий и потрясающая постановка. Fandango справляется со всеми задачами хороших квестов: рассказывает интересную истории и предлагает нам неплохие загадки, которые не надоедают.

Довольно забавно увидеть мексиканский фольклор в современной обработке, видеть скелета-клерка, продающего туры на тот самый загробный отдых. Персонажи где-то стереотипные, но приятные и запоминающиеся.

Grim Fandango — один из лучших представителей жанра "Квест". К сожалению, таких игр нам сейчас очень не хватает.
