The new version of the R.E.A.L. modification for Grand Theft Auto 5 allows you to complete the game from start to finish without noticeable issues. Although this is not the first attempt by modders to bring gameplay into virtual reality, the updated version is the most stable and successful.

The mod supports Oculus and SteamVR headsets, detects them, and adjusts rendering automatically. The author notes that support for WMR and Pimax headsets is not fully functional yet. The new version of the mod is also much easier to install — just unzip the files into the game folder and launch the game via the bat file.

In the new version, you can also adjust graphics settings without restarting the game, and on the most powerful PCs, MSAA anti-aliasing can be enabled. One of the important additions is the adjustable field of view, which now allows you to comfortably watch all cutscenes.

Новая версия модификации R.E.A.L. для Grand Theft Auto 5 позволяет пройти игру от начала и до конца без видимых проблем. Хотя это далеко не первая попытка модеров перенести геймплей в виртуальную реальность, обновленная версия является самой стабильной и удачной.

Мод поддерживает шлемы Oculus и SteamVR, обнаруживает их и подстраивает рендер автоматически. Автор отмечает, что поддержка шлемов WMR и Pimax пока не работает полноценно. Новая версия мода также стала гораздо легче устанавливаться — достаточно разархивировать файлы в папку с игрой и запустить игру через bat.

В новой версии также можно настраивать графику без перезапуска игры, а на самых мощных ПК появилась возможность включить сглаживание MSAA. Одно из важных добавлений — настройка угла обзора, с помощью которой теперь спокойно просмотреть все кат-сцены.
