First-Person Gameplay as Gordon Freeman

A modder has released a working Pancake Base mod for Alyx. Notably, this modification does not simulate the floating hands of the main character in the air, but replaces them with the familiar gloves of Gordon Freeman. Now, the VR game can be played like a classic shooter.

Although you will see Gordon's hands in his orange suit on the screen, naturally, you will hear Alyx in the storyline.

Goutrial used models and animations from the original Half-Life 2 and its episodes, making slight adjustments. Currently, the mod lacks some effects, and visual artifacts may occasionally appear, but it truly works.

Of course, the locations of Half-Life: Alyx are not designed for the classic dynamic gameplay of the series, so with proper experience in shooters, the local shootouts with the mod will not be difficult.
