This detective visual novel follows the owner of the second-hand bookshop Hermitage and his companions as they become entangled in a series of mysterious cases in the sprawling city of New City. As they investigate, the answers lead to increasingly strange truths involving phenomena beyond the ordinary world.
To advance the story, the player chooses conversation techniques suited to different characters and gathers important information. Clues come from conversations, television programs, and forum posts, then can be combined to support deductions. The success of these arguments affects how events unfold.
