Set in the Homestuck universe in 1994, this point-and-click adventure begins with Joey Claire trapped in her room as monsters appear around the house, while her brother Jude Harley is stuck in his treehouse. The story also features Xefros Tritoh, an alien rebel, in a strange world on the brink of upheaval.
Players explore homes and rooms, search for clues, solve puzzles, and interact with objects. The game uses hand-drawn 2D art and animation, with exploration revealing more about its characters. HIVESWAP: Act 1 is the first instalment in a four-part series; saved progress carries the story and choices between chapters and games in the series.
